LEAP Program

LEAP! stands for Leading Edge Action Program. It’s based on the Camp Micah philosophy of  learning by trying and leading by doing. Experiential, participatory, inclusive, fun and hopefully even a little inspirational.

Camp Micah is offering two, nine-day programs for Camp Micah “graduates” who want to go deeper in exploring the call to leadership for peace and social justice: the Arts LEAP! and the Justice LEAP!

LEAP Create!

Leap Create is an exploration of how to Act Justly, Love Tenderly and Walk Humbly through the arts. Participants will have the opportunity to continue exploring their leadership skills through collaborative artistic endeavours. Participants can expect to head home with exciting new social justice tools. Learn to change the world through screen printing, painting, singing, beating a drum and so much more.

If you’re one of those people who thinks they don’t have any artistic ability, don’t worry! None is required. We believe everyone has the potential to be creative and therefore an artist in their own unique way. All you need is a willingness to develop and explore that creative ability in a collaborative way with others.

Leap Journey !

Leap Journey will explore social justice and leadership in a whirlwind week of participatory learning through personal reflection, group sharing and unique challenge experiences.

The program includes a canoe trip, organizing and leading activities for first year participants, workshops on leadership --- and of course the Solo! It's an opportunity to roll up your sleeves and really develop new leadership skills.

Often schools, faith communities and youth groups have funds set aside for people wanting to go to Camp Micah. We don’t want money to be an obstacle. If you’re having trouble finding the money, please get in touch with us. We have some money set aside to help, and there may be a way to come up with the money by brainstorming together.

We hope to see you at camp this summer!
